FFXIclopedia Pages – How Crazy Do I Want To Be?

I’m sure we all know the wonder and joy that is Final Fantasy XI’s wiki site, FFXIclopedia.  What some of us don’t know is that some of those pages aren’t coded in a way that abu -I mean- uses the templates provided by the wiki.

Take, for example, the wiki-page for the Healing Torque (which has already been cleaned up by me by the time you check it out).  The original coding for the stats was:

”’Healing Torque”’ {{Rare}}<br>”'<nowiki>[</nowiki>[[:category:Neck|Neck]]<nowiki>]</nowiki> All Races”’ <br>
{{Resist Water}} +5<br>
”'[[Healing Magic Skill|Healing magic skill]]”’ +7<br>
”’Lv.”’ 65 ”’All Jobs”’

The optimal coding using the templates provided by the wiki would be:

{{Armor
| name = Healing Torque
| tags = {{Rare2}}
| slot = Neck
| races = All Races
| stats = {{Resist Water}} +5 <br>”'[[Healing Magic Skill|Healing magic skill]]”’ +7
| level = 65
| jobs = All Jobs
}}

The “<nowiki>” command is moot-point when using the template.  Not to mention, look how more legible and organized the template-version is.

I happen to enjoy coding – actually, organizing information, but that’s beside the point.  Anyhow, there are quite a number of pages that would be coded using the wiki templates provided by the wiki, I can’t help but ask myself if I’m crazy enough to sit down one day and fix up as many pages as I can.

Oh, and the box for the collector’s edition of Final Fantasy XIV is huge!!
<(o.O)>

And the travel journal is cute. :D

Addendum @ 8PM EST: *LMFAO!! Anyone else trying to product-register FFXIV to their Square-Enix account and getting the error message that “your code has expired”?!  FAIL!!
